My Story
Long Island born and raised, I grew up enjoying time with friends at the beach and eating bagels and pizza. Hailing from an atypical family, I had a unique upbringing which has made me gracious for the things I have in life. I enjoy working as a team, but also get joy from accomplishing projects independently.
As a huge sports fan, I spend some of my free time watching sports on television, working them, or going to games. Going away to college taught me about many different perspectives about life just in New York State alone. My favorite subject in school is Math.
What Brings Me Joy
Spending time with people who make me happy, traveling, and doing activities that I enjoy bring me joy. Making those around me happy, makes me happy.
When not in the classroom, I love spending time with friends and traveling. The world is an oyster, and it is amazing learning new things in new places. I also enjoy reading and watching movies.
What I'm Good At
My best trait is empathy. Many times, I not only sympathize with people but empathize with them too which helps me as an educator. Many people tell me they like that trait about me.
What the World Needs
The world needs more educators who care about students, and genuinely want them to succeed. Some people enter a job because they love what they do, and others do just for an income. Teachers who go above and beyond for their students warm my heart.
Why Commons?
Buffalo Commons is a school that encourages students to embrace their uniqueness. Mr. Danny really makes sure his employees are happy working at his school, as it is a domino effect for students. He takes all teacher perspectives into account when making decisions and allows them to be heard. Project based learning is so important for children, and research supports how effective this method of learning is.
